Qur’an Memorization Course

Qur’an is the Word of Allah. It is our Creator’s guidelines for us to understand ourselves, our purpose, and how to succeed in life and the hereafter. Living the life, without Qur’an, is exactly like wandering aimlessly in an unknown maze with no map! Qur’an is our map which we should memorize by our heart, not to get lost.

Qur’an recitation should be taken very seriously, as its every single letter literally counts and brings Allah’s grace, blessings, and pleasure, let alone memorizing it! When you keep repeating recitation, gaining such endless, untold rewards by Allah!

Prerequisites:

• +7 years old.

• Arabic language basics.

Learning Objectives:

• Memorization of Qur’an starting from Juz’ Amma to Al-Baqarah or vice versa depending on what the instructor finds relevant for the student.

• Instructors read with students each verse several times before students take it as a new memorization part.

• After students get further in memorization, instructors give them revision from past Suras to revise beside the new verses.

• Students and instructors determine plan of memorization together (what to memorize, what to revise, how to memorize, and revise, etc.)

Expectations:

By the end of this course, the student will be able to:

• To recite Qur’an flawlessly, by repeating it correctly several times in the process of memorization, applying the Noorani Qaida, with the Tajweed rules.

• To understand the simple, overall meanings of the part of Qur’an they memorized.

• To differentiate the similarities in different Surahs!

• To feel closer to Allah, by memorizing His Words, Qur’an.

• To, Insha’Allah, gain elevation, honor, and pleasure of Allah, as the Prophet (PBUH) said:“The one who was devoted to the Qur’an will be told on the Day of Resurrection: ‘Recite and ascend (in ranks) as you used to recite when you were in the world. Your rank will be at the last Ayah you recite.“ [Abu Dawud and At- Tirmidhi].
